Track and field competes at St. Olaf

Celest Ventura
Highlighted by double event winner Celestine Ventura, the St. Kate's track and field team saw steady improvement in their second meet of the season.

Ventura finished first in both the weight throw (15.22 meters, 49-11.25 ft) and the shot put (12.46 m, 40-10.5 ft).

Kayla Engel was the only other event champion for the Wildcats. Engel took top honors in the 600 meter dash with a time of 1:39. 34.

Other top finishers for the Wildcats included:
Amanda Manship finishing second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:27. 79.
Kristina Popov placed second in the pole vault with a jump of 3.05 meters (10-0 ft).
Kim Engel competed for the first time this year, and finished third in the 400 meter dash (61.95) and sixth in the 200 (27.76).
Sam Levercom finished 6th, and set a new personal best, in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.74 seconds.
First year Renee Crepeau finished fourth in the mile (5:52.84)
