Track and field competes at St. Olaf

Highlighted by double event winner Celestine Ventura, the St. Kate's track and field team saw steady improvement in their second meet of the season. Ventura finished first in both the weight throw (15.22 meters, 49-11.25 ft) and the shot put (12.46 m, 40-10.5 ft).

Sieve featured in hometown newspaper

St. Catherine University senior track & field and cross country runner Greta Sieve has been featured in an article from her hometown newspaper, the New Ulm Journal. A link to the story is available here.

Track opens season at Stout

The St. Kate's track and field team opened their indoor season at the UW-Stout Open. The Wildcats top finisher was senior Greta Sieve, who finished first and set a new school record in the 3k with a time of 10:22.15.

Sieve wraps up season at NCAA Championships

While the rest of the St. Kate's student body was completing final exams, Greta Sieve was competing in a final of her own. Sieve was wrapping up her track and field season at the NCAA Championships in Marietta, Ohio.

Sieve chases NCAA mark

Greta Sieve competed in the 3000 meter steeplechase at North Central College in an attempt to qualify for the NCAA national meet. While she will have to wait until Sunday afternoon to find out if she has qualified for the meet, she does not have to wait to know that she turned in another outstanding performance.
