Summer Swim
Registration - Begins March 1st
 
o         Complete and mail in the Registration Form. Payment must be included to complete registration process.
o         NO PHONE REGISTRATIONS.
o         Registrations will be taken in order of the postmark.
o         You will be informed only when space is not available or when a class is cancelled. If you wish to have an e-mail confirmation fill in your e-mail address and select the box on the registration form. If you do not have an e-mail address you may call the Summer Swim Director to confirm.
o         Minimum enrollment for each class is five children. If this is not met you will be notified of cancellation.
o         All checks will be cashed upon registration and not on June 1st like in previous years.
o         Refunds will only be given to those who cancel at least 3 days prior to the start of their session.

Cost
$90 for each child enrolled in Session 1 (Three Week Program)
$65 for each child enrolled in Session 2 or 3 (Two Week Programs)
 
 
Class Descriptions
Red Cross Level I : Introduction to Water Skills
Ages 3-5. Orientation to shallow water movements and safety skills without a parent. Course includes supported floating, kicking on front and back, arm actions, submerging face in water, and basic water adjustment. Parents do not attend with the child. Class limit of 5-6. Toilet Training is REQUIRED.
 
Red Cross Level II : Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Beginning swimming movement and safety skills. Swimmers must be comfortable in the water with out parent. Includes floating and kicking on front and back, rhythmic breathing, turning over front to back and back to front, combined arm and leg strokes on front and back.
 
Red Cross Level III : Stroke Development
Child should be able to float and be somewhat familiar with front and back strokes. Class builds on skills by coordinating strokes and increasing endurance and skill competency.
 
Red Cross Level IV : Stroke Improvement
Develops endurance in skills learned. Introduces breast stroke and side stroke. Students must have completed Level III skills and be comfortable in deep water.
 
Red Cross Level V : Stroke Refinement
Refines coordination and increases endurance of key strokes. Students should be able to swim the front crawl and elementary back stroke with proficiency. Introduces surface dives and basic spring board diving, swimming underwater and open turns on front and back.
 
Red Cross Level VI : Swimming & Skill Proficiency
Students must possess Level V skills. This class refines strokes so swimmers can do them easily and efficiently. This level is also designed to prepare students to participate in more advanced Red Cross courses, including Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training.
 
 
We also offer private swim lessons during the summer and we will begin taking requests for private lessons on Tuesday, June 1st.  Cost for lessons are $20 per child for 30 minutes.  Lessons are taught during the same weeks of our group lessons and run from 1:30-2:30pm.
