Burroughs spotlighted in MIAC Friday Feature

Michaela Burroughs
As the lone senior on the St. Catherine University tennis team, Michaela Burroughs (Waterloo, Neb.) has been an integral part of the squad historic season in 2013.

Not only has she helped the Wildcats capture their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championship in program history and complete an undefeated conference schedule, Burroughs has also set an example for her teammates on and off the court as a leader and dedicated student-athlete.

Burroughs maintains an exceptional grade point average (GPA), balances a busy practice schedule and works several hours a week in Senator Al Franken's office as an intern. Throughout her time at St. Catherine, the tennis captain has dedicated herself to making the most of her collegiate experience on an off the tennis court.

Just one day before the Wildcats enter the MIAC playoffs as the No. 1 seed, Burroughs is the focus of this week's MIAC Friday Feature: Burroughs fits internship and tennis title into busy semester
