ITA Release

Though the winter weather has been quite unpredicatbale the last few weeks, one thing has remained constant   the St. Catherine University tennis team has been having one of the best seasons in program history.

The Wildcats remained in the No. 7 spot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Central Region poll after two weeks without competing, while Victoria Bravo (Tucson, Ariz.) holds the No. 13 spot in the individual rankings, the ITA announced Thursday.

With an 11-1 overall record and an impressive 6-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) record, the Wildcats remain the top-ranked squad in the conference with only four opponents left on the MIAC schedule. Bravo also maintains her spot as the top MIAC singles player, while she and Kylie Ketcho (Edina, Minn.) held on to the No. 11 doubles team ranking.

But with the unpredictable weather, the Wildcat matchup at Macalester College  originally scheudled for Tuesday, April 16   has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Macalester in St. Paul.

The Wildcats will look to inch ever closer to an MIAC title as they face Concordia College Saturday. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center.
