Day one of the Grinnell Invitational got off to a great start for the Wildcats, as they picked up top-five finishes. The team ended the evening in fifth place overall, less than ten points out of third place.
Steffanie Jurusik led the way for the team with two top-three finishes.
Jurusik swan the 200 IM in 2:15.54 for a third place finish. She then picked up a second place finish in the 200 back, swimming 1:02.13.
Mary Walters and
Kathleen VanDeVoorde both qualified for the "A" final in the 200 back as well, with VanDeVoorde finishing seventh and Walters placing ninth.
Sarah Moody placed second in the 1-meter diving. Her score of 424.30 was just off her season best and school record from earlier this season.
Bridget Perkins added to the Wildcat point total as well, picking up a seventh place finish in the 100 free.

Mary Walters and Jurusik picked up a fourth place finish in the 200 free relay, swimming 1:44.17.
Lena Anderson joined Perkins, Vrudny, and Jurusik for a sixth place finish in the 400 medley relay.
