The Bethel Royals came out shooting in the first period, scoring first at 17:05.

Twenty-eight seconds later, Bethel picked up a two minute interference penalty. Unfortunately for SCU, the Royals scored a short-handed goal eight seconds into the Wildcat power play. That goal by Bethel's Cristina Masten was not only her second of the game, but the eventual game winner. 

St. Kate's scored at 9:42 in the second period when Becky Clifton found the net on an unassisted goal. That was the last of the scoring for either side as the Wildcats drop the conference game 2-1.

Mel Gerten stopped 28 of Bethel's 30 shots on goal.  SCU was outshot in every period tonight. The Wildcats will try to regroup and flip the result tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel.
