For the first time in the 6 year history of the annual alumni softball game, the current team defeated the alum.  The alum held a 2-0 lead going into the bottom of the 7th inning. The alumni team was able to get the first two outs of the inning. First-year Kaitlyn Luedtke began the two out rally with a base hit and then stole second base. The next two Wildcat runners (SR) Kaitlyn Frank and (SO) Alyssa McKee were walked to load the bases. (JR) Ashley Matthys stepped to the plate faced with bases loaded and two outs. She delivered a base clearing, off the fence triple to propel the Cats to their first alumni win. Matthys was 2-2 at the plate with a double and 3 RBI triple. For the alumni, Beth Freier (10') had a double and scored one and both Katie Allen (10') and Joan DeCrans (04') had RBI singles.
