St. Thomas hosted eight of the MIAC swimming & diving teams on Friday evening for a relay meet, giving all the swimmers opportunities to swim in some unconventional events and work on all the different strokes.  The Wildcats stacked up well in most races against their MIAC competitors, posting their top finishes in the 300y breastroke and 300y backstroke relays.

The 300 breast relay of Lena Anderson, Melanie Maas, Allison Witt, and Sarah Vrudny placed fourth in the event with a time of 3:42.18.  The 300 back relay was also fourth, with Lauren Kranig, Kathleen VanDeVoorde, Mary Walters, and Steffanie Jurusik swimming 3:07.10.  The trio of Bridget Perkins, Witt, and Jurusik placed third in the 1100y "Animal Relay", spending just over 13 minutes in the pool.  

The Wildcats return to some more conventional events next weekend in Northfield for a MIAC quad meet on Friday at 6 pm.
