Competing in their first full 6k race of the season, the St. Kate's cross country team finished 12th at the St. Olaf Invitational with 350 points.

Greta Sieve finished third overall, and first among NCAA Division III  runners, in the field of 276. Sieve's time of 22:35 was a new personal best for the senior, and lowered her school record time by 21 seconds.

Heidi Sande (25:50), Renee Crepeau (26:16), Tamar Billiet (26:44) and Emily Seidl (28:01) rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats.

A satisfied Coach Henderson noted that "We handled our first race of the season pretty well. There is still plenty to work on, but we are further along then we were last year at this time, so that is a good sign. Now we have to progress from here to get where we think we can be."

The Bulldogs from the University of Minnesota Duluth won the team title with 45 points.
