Sieve wraps up season at NCAA Championships
While the rest of the St. Kate's student body was completing final exams, Greta Sieve was competing in a final of her own. Sieve was wrapping up her track and field season at the Division III NCAA National Championships in Marietta, Ohio.
The junior track and field team captain entered the 3000 meter steeplechase ranked 19th, but handled her first national meet extremely well and moved through the field to finish 12th. In doing so she became the second highest finisher at the NCAA National Championships in St. Kate's team history.
Despite the extremely hot conditions, Sieve nearly matched her personal best time set the week before as she crossed the finish line in 10:56.78.
