Tennis drops a tough one

The St. Kate's tennis team lost a hard fought match against Concordia College. The 5-4 setback concludes the Wildcats 2009 season.

In today's match St. Kate's took a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Picking up closely contested wins at first and second doubles with Susie Hallquist and Martha Ginder prevailing 9-8 and Lauren Beadnell and Jenna Olson winning 8-3.

Singles play was just as tight, with two matches going to a third set and two other sets going to into a tie-breaker. Unfortunately for St. Kate's they came out on the wrong end of several of those matches and fell 5-4 to the Cobbers.
