The St. Kate's cross country team competed at the Tori Nuebauer Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The Wildcats turned in five personal bests on the day and finished 21st in a race with 32 teams represented.
Senior Greta Sieve continued to lead the way for the Wildcats. Her time of 22:27 was the fastest time ever run by a St. Kate's athlete for the 6k distance and placed her 16th overall, tenth among Division III runners, in the field of 448.
Renee Crepeau led a strong pack of Wildcats across the line as she finished with a new personal best time of 25:34.
Tamar Billiet (25:47) and
Heidi Sande (25:57) followed closely behind Crepeau.
Emily Seidl rounded out the team scoring for St. Kate's with a season best time of 27:03. Kelsey Eder (27:20) and
Molly Muller (27:29) rounded out the top seven for the team.
UW-Eau Claire finished first overall with an impressive 51 points.
The Wildcats are now off until the MIAC Championships on October 31st at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul.
