The MIAC announced the 2011 conference volleyball awards on Tuesday and junior
Brittni Wangerin was named to the All-Conference Team for the first time in her career. Wangerin led the Wildcats in several offensive catagories this season while helping to lead the team to a seventh-place finish in the MIAC, narrowly missing the playoffs.
Wangerin was the team's most prolific attacker, compiling 328 kills over the course of the season, good for a team best 3.38 kills per set and sixth best amongst all the MIAC players. She recorded a season best 23 kills against Bethel on October 1st. Wangerin also provided offense on her serve, with 41 aces, helping the Wildcats finish with the most serves per game in the MIAC. Her total of 339 digs was second for the Wildcats.
