Competing in a field with 500 runners and 37 teams, the St. Kate's cross country team finished 22nd overall with 684 points. Greta Sieve (23:29) led the Wildcats across the line, and earned a spot on the post-race awards podium, as she finished 20th in the field of 500 runners.
Rounding out the team scoring for the Wildcats on the challenging, soggy course were Heidi Sande (26:17), Renee Crepeau (26:24), Tamar Billiet (27:12) and Emily Seidl (27:44).
Coach Henderson noted that "Considering where we are at in our training and everything I think we ran decent. Heidi, Renee and Emliy, Molly and Kelsey did a nice job working together and everyone on the team fought hard the whole way, so certainly some things we can build on over the next month of the season."
The Wildcats are now off until October 10th when they host the St. Kate's Quadrangular starting at 11am on campus.
UW-LaCrosse won the team title with 98 points. Marie Borner won the individual title with a time of 21:37.
