Tennis splits in Wisconsin
The St. Kate's tennis team traveled to Wisconsin to take on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UWEC) and UW-Stout. The Wildcats dropped the first match to Eau Claire 8-1 before returning to the court to defeat Stout 7-2.
Martha Ginder was the lone double winner on the afternoon picking up a hard fought three set victory against UWEC (0-6, 6-3, 10-2) and a straight set (6-2, 6-1) victory against Stout.
Against Stout the Wildcats swept the doubles matches before picking up wins at 3,4,5, and 6 singles.
The team is now 5-7 on the season. They resume MIAC play on Wednesday when they host the University of St. Thomas at 4pm.
